Jeffrey A. Wagner joined Michael Schirber in the practice of law in 1999. In 2003 they formed the firm of Schirber & Wagner, LLP. The firm concentrates primarily on family and criminal law. After graduating from law school in 1993, Jeff worked as a staff attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Omaha, Nebraska where he focused on family law , civil rights and civil litigation. It was while he was a staff attorney that Jeff developed his extensive skills in appellate litigation in addition to his broad-based experience at the trial level. Jeff practices in the following areas: Family Law, Criminal Law, Juvenile Law, Housing Discrimination, Civil Rights, and General Civil Litigation. Jeff was admitted wot the practice of law in Nebraska in 1993 and also that same year in the U.S. District Court, District of Nebraska 1993. In 1999 Jeff was admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Jeff is a proud graduate of Creighton University School of Law and a member of the Nebraska State Bar Association, Omaha, Bar Association, Sarpy County Bar Association, Second Judicial District Bar Association, Nebraska Association of Criminal Defense Attorneys .
Liam K. Meehan joined the firm in March of 2012 as an associate and became a partner in the firm in 2017. Since joining the firm in 2012, Liam has represented individuals in both felonies and misdemeanor’s in both Sarpy and Douglas County. Liam also has an active family law practice in Sarpy County and Douglas County. In addition, Liam has represented clients in the Nebraska appellate courts. Liam also practices in Iowa, but primarily in Pottawattamie County. Liam received his law degree from Creighton University School of Law. While at Creighton, he was selected for the International Trademark Association moot court team which competed in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Meehan also clerked at Lamson Dugan and Murray throughout Law School. Liam practices in the following areas Criminal Law, Family Law, Juvenile Law, Employment Discrimination, and General Civil Litigation. Liam is admitted to the the Nebraska and Iowa Bar Associations.
Ryan Watson is an Associate Attorney with Schirber & Wagner, L.L.P., and focuses his practice on family and criminal law, as well as, probate and general civil litigation throughout Douglas, Sarpy, and the surrounding counties. Ryan’s career began as a law clerk for the Sarpy County Public Defender’s Office. During his two years of clerkship, Ryan gained significant trial experience, appellate experience, and an intimate familiarity with the Sarpy County judicial system. While a student at Creighton University’s School of Law, Ryan was a member of Law Review where he was recognized for distinguished service and enjoyed the immense privilege of being published. Ryan also had the privilege of being able to study family and juvenile law under professor Catherine R. Brooks and was accepted into her inaugural family law practice course. In addition to his academics, Ryan was the Vice President of Fundraising for the Public Interest Law Forum, and Vice President and Treasurer for the Environmental Law Society. Ryan and his wife Elizabeth are lifelong residents of the Omaha metro area, both graduates of Central High School, and parishioners of St. Cecilia’s Cathedral. They have two exuberant young boys, Nathaniel and Finnegan, who provide a wealth of laughter and never allow a dull moment to pass. Although he lacks any real talent, Ryan claims to enjoy golfing with his peers. He typically has more success talking his way onto a team than he actually does on the course. Ryan practices in the following areas Criminal Law, Family Law, Juvenile Law, Guardianship Law, Estate Planning & Probate. Ryan is admitted to practice in all state and federal courts in Nebraska. Ryan is a member of the Nebraska Bar Association, Omaha Bar Association , Sarpy County Bar Association. American Bar Association – Member of the Litigation Section, Criminal Justice Section, and Young Lawyer’s Division. Ryan is also a proud member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians Education
